One Life Celebrations Ministries
Reverend Manny Edgar-Beltran

The minister or pastor search can be difficult and time consuming. I am a non-denominational, ordained, minister who has assisted many happy couples make their wedding ceremony perfect, and I am ready and willing to help you with the task of planning your ceremony and your wedding vows. As your minister, I will make your day specially customized to you.
The wedding ceremony is all about the couple – about what they both want, not what anyone else wants or what other people's traditions are (unless you wish to incorporate them). I will work with you and your planner in an effort to give you the ceremony you want and deserve.
Your marriage begins with your wedding ceremony, so why not make it the most special event ever? Allow me to assist you in the vital stages of your ceremony.I would love the opportunity to help you make your special day perfect.
Each individual wedding is unique and extremely personal. My experience allows me to make your wedding day and vows special and unique.  Being an ordained minister allows me to perform a wedding with both spiritual and civil authority. I will help your wedding planner complete the planning process. If you don't have one, I can even help you find one.
Nothing is more important than hiring the right wedding minister that fits you. I'd be honored to have the opportunity to help you and share in your special day.
When a loved one dies, grieving family members and friends are often confronted with dozens of decisions about the funeral - all of which must be made quickly and often in the midst of great emotional duress.
     What kind of funeral?
     What funeral provider?
Should you bury, cremate, or donate to science?
What other arrangements should you plan?
How much is it all going to cost?
Though I am not able to answer all these questions for you (which are primarily between you and your funeral director), I will be there for you and can help you with any and all spiritual matters related to the funeral, services, and the celebration of the life of your loved one.
Call me at 805-340-9910 so that we may start working with you and visiting you at your home, hospital, or other institution to assist in the planning.
Do you need someone to go with you to the funeral home and talk to the funeral director?  Call me.
If you wish not to use me as your funeral minister, that is fine!  I am available to you and your family in whatever capacity that I can be of service in this most difficult time.
The Priestly Blessing:
          May the LORD bless you, and keep you;
          May the LORD make His countenance shine upon you, and be gracious to you;
May the LORD turn His countenance to you and grant you peace.
                                                                                                       Numbers 6:24-26
Blessings can be said or bestowed upoon anything you wish.  Why?  Because a blessing is a wish that comes from the heart to someone or something you are asking for the person, event or thing to find favor in the eyes of the creator (God).  Whatever your faith, a blessing does not interfere with nor alter your spiritual beliefs.
Can a non-Catholic receive a Catholic blessing or a non-Jew receive a Jewish blessing?  No, because there is no such thing as a Catholic or a Jewish blessing (or Pentacostal, Baptist, etc.).  Blessings are simply that, blessings.  Just because a certain format or blessing is used by or was started by a given sect does not mean that it belongs to that particular faith or religious association.  Blessings are like air, they are for everyone.  A blessing is created for the moment in time that it is bestowed on a particular person, event, or thing.
Some examples where people use blessings:
     New born children
Funerals or funeral accessories (e.g. burial clothes, momentos, or casket)
     Divorce (sometimes a blessing)
     Cemetery grounds or depository, mausoleum
New house, car, game, plants, pets, jobs, and on and on
I have experience giving blessings for all of the items above and more, and would be honored to help you bestow a blessing on who or what-ever you feel deserves this special attention in the eyes of the Lord.
What is spiritual direction?
Spiritual direction is a process or journey in which the guide, or director,
helps to guide someone closer to their God, Holy of Holies, higher power,
creator, or being.  With Spiritual direction, you can find or explore a deeper
relationship with your God/Creator and learn about yourself.
I will help you tell your sacred story of Life, help guide you to understand your calling in your spiritual world.  You can learn to live with understanding, compassion, justice, peace, and love.
Is undertaking your spiritual direction easy?  No!  It requires discipline and a true desire in your heart to learn more about your relationship with your God/Creator, as well as the humility to accept your shortcomings and be willing to put them aside and start all over.
Turning your life into a living prayer.  Not easy but accomplishable...
To what faith do I need to belong to have Spiritual direction?  Any faith can grow deeper and richer with spiritual direction.  In Christianity this bible quote is used to illustrate what Spiritual direction is:
Jesus said “where two or more are gathered in my name, there am I in their midst.”
Spiritual direction is a "gathering together" of two in the name of Jesus, the spiritual director and the directee, to help a person develop a closer relationship with God and to better discern how the Holy Spirit is leading in their life.
